A couple of years ago, I started offering audiobooks directly on my website as a way to offer a lower-cost option to Audible’s often nosebleed prices. And it’s worked, more or less. But to be frank, the whole setup has left a lot to be desired, from the delivery of the audiobook to the listening interface. But it was the best I could do given limited tools at my disposal.

But technology marches ever onward, the options available to indie authors continue to expand, and I’m thrilled to share a massive upgrade to my “direct” audiobook store: AUDIOBOOK STORE.

Bar fights and explosions are also rumored to occur, because where Eren wanders, chaos usually follows. Mr. Jennsen, first reader and relentless truth teller, has proclaimed The Thief “the most fun book” I’ve ever written. Considering that was my goal, I’m pretty stoked to see if you all agree with him.

Now, about that Halloween flash fiction. GHOSTS OF PROELE takes place around three years after Duality, but before any future books starring Nika and Dashiel. That said, you don’t need to have read Duality or any of the Riven Worlds books to enjoy the story (it is a little spoilery if you haven’t yet read Asterion Noir). I scribbled it out in about an hour last week, and it’s only been editing for spelling errors. At a thousand words, it’s a super-quick read. I hope you enjoy it!
